Kathmandu: More than 30 persons with disabilities have completed a seven-day enterprise development training on recycling and upcycling under UNDP’s Green Job Creation through Recycling and Upcycling project in Gandaki Province.
The training was conducted in collaboration with Pokhara Metropolitan City and with support from KOICA, marking the first phase of a three-phase program aimed at transforming skills into sustainable green businesses. Participants will receive further business development support, along with access to tools, machinery, and seed inputs to help establish enterprises.
According to UNDP, the initiative seeks to promote green job creation, strengthen the circular economy, and advance economic empowerment and leadership of persons with disabilities, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable Pokhara.
