Kathmandu: Through the Norway supported Parliament Support Project (PSP), UNDP, together with civil society partners, is creating spaces for young people to engage directly with parliamentary institutions across all seven provinces.
In Bagmati province, more than 100 law students engaged with the Bagmati Provincial Assembly, exploring how laws are made, how legislative information can be accessed and how youth voices can shape parliamentary processes.
Similarly, in Koshi province, more than 300 students across three colleges discussed issues that matter to their lives, from skills-based education and employment to entrepreneurship, inclusive education and budget priorities, with members and officials of the Koshi Provincial Assembly.
These conversations are helping turn access to information into meaningful participation, connecting young people with the institutions that shape their lives and strengthening a more open, responsive, inclusive and accountable democracy.
