Kathmandu: UN ECOSOC President Thapa addressed the High-level meeting on Global Road Safety, emphasizing that road safety is not only a transport issue, but also a development, public health, social justice and climate issue.
President Thapa stressed that transport decisions shape public health, urban development, economic opportunity, environmental sustainability and social inclusion, requiring coordinated action across sectors. He said, “Let us build transport systems that put people first and accelerate implementation of the SDGs.”
