Kathmandu: UNFPA Nepal welcomed a high-level delegation from the Government of Norway, led by Signe Brudeset, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, to UNFPA-supported sites in Kathmandu: Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital and the Family Planning Association of Nepal.
The visit showcased how UNFPA works with the Government of Nepal, health providers and civil society to keep mothers safe, expand access to family planning, support survivors of gender-based violence and reach the women and young people most often left behind.
With the support from the Embassy of Norway, the organization stated that this work continues to deliver a future where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
