Kathmandu: Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Megan Bouldin met with Acting Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle to discuss Nepal’s flood recovery and long-term reconstruction on September 23.
CDA Bouldin reiterated the United States’ commitment to continuing the search for missing Americans and supporting Nepali communities affected by the disaster, highlighting more than $36 million in U.S. assistance to date which includes new funding for the construction of permanent bridges, drinking water, sanitation, shelter, livelihoods, winter-related support, and disaster-response equipment
CDA Bouldin thanked Minister Wagle for his government’s efforts to improve the business environment for American companies operating in Nepal, and discussed ways to further strengthen it.
