US Embassy Conducts Two-Day Training for Nepali Women Leaders

Kathmandu: The U.S. Embassy in Nepal conducts a two-day high-impact communication training in Pokhara, aimed at empowering emerging women leaders.

Following successful sessions in Kathmandu, Janakpur, and Biratnagar, the program in Pokhara brought together more than 20 participants, including survivors of domestic violence and acid attacks, as well as grassroots leaders and professionals.

The training was led by corporate coach Mannsi Agrawal and Muskan Khatun, a U.S. International Women of Courage awardee, focusing on leadership, public speaking, and building networks to strengthen communities and reduce pressure for out-migration.

By helping women unlock their potential, the Embassy is supporting stronger, more resilient communities, creating conditions for people to thrive at home rather than seek opportunities abroad. Investing in women leaders not only creates opportunities at home but also deepens the U.S.-Nepal partnership, advancing economic cooperation, skill exchange, and lasting people-to-people ties.
