Kathmandu: Storm Communications Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as one of the standout agencies at the FLAME Awards Asia 2026, held in New Delhi, winning four awards — two Golds and two Silvers — for its work across events, activations, influencer marketing and fintech.
The agency’s biggest recognition came with the prestigious Gold for Emerging Markets Agency of the Year, establishing Storm Communications Nepal as a leading force in activation, events, experiential and BTL marketing in Nepal.
Storm Nepal also won Gold for Best Use of Regional/Vernacular Influencers and Silver for Best Government/Public Sector Exhibition for its work on Creators Mela, the U.S. Embassy Nepal’s signature creator-economy initiative.
The 2026 edition brought together more than 5,000 aspiring content creators, alongside 50+ creators, industry experts and performers, making it one of Nepal’s largest creator-focused platforms.
Over the years, Creators Mela has evolved into a premier hub for Nepal’s emerging creator economy, connecting young talent with knowledge, technology, brands, entrepreneurs and new commercial opportunities. The 2026 edition was executed across three cities in Nepal by Storm Communications Nepal, in partnership with strategy partner Elephant & Castle, delivering a seamless multi-city experience and bringing the creator community closer to opportunities beyond Kathmandu.
Elephant & Castle led the programme strategy, developed the theme and managed influencer engagement, helping make the event truly stand out. The success of Creators Mela once again demonstrates the power of the right collaboration — where strategy, creativity and execution come together with a shared vision.
This is a win for both entities and a testament to what the right partnership, shared vision and collective effort can achieve.
“These awards are a credit to Storm Communications Nepal, Elephant & Castle, and the team that helped turn Creators Mela into one of the country’s leading platforms for the creator economy, earning recognition alongside some of the region’s best work,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at U.S. Embassy Nepal. “But they also validate something bigger: Creators Mela is building a stronger U.S.–Nepal commercial bridge. By helping Nepali creators build businesses using American digital tools, AI platforms and global commercial networks, we are connecting Nepal’s talent with U.S. innovation while creating new opportunities for American companies in a fast-growing digital market. The Gold and Silver recognition demonstrates that strong U.S.–Nepal partnerships can deliver tangible value for Nepali entrepreneurs, open doors for American businesses and deepen the economic ties that benefit both countries.”
On behalf of Storm, Sanjay Roy, General Manager, shared, “For us, success has always been about the power of the right collaboration, the trust of our clients and partners, and the commitment to go the extra mile. At Storm, we believe that when strategy, creativity and execution come together with the right spirit, the outcome can go far beyond expectations. What makes this recognition even more special is that it celebrates not just an idea, but the collective effort, passion and dedication of everyone who helped bring it to life. To see work born in Nepal being recognised on an international platform is a proud and deeply satisfying moment for the entire team. It reinforces our belief that ideas from Nepal can create an impact well beyond its borders.” Mannat Shrestha, CEO of Elephant & Castle, added, “Elephant & Castle has been proud to be part of the U.S. Embassy’s Creator’s Mela journey since 2023, and much like the event itself, our role has continued to evolve and grow over the years.
We began by supporting the event production, and with each edition, we were entrusted with greater responsibility, eventually taking on the overall coordination of the event, from building its structure and framework to managing what we consider the heart of Creator’s Mela: its creators and influencers. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch the platform grow in scale, ambition and impact. While Elephant & Castle did not apply for the award ourselves, we are genuinely happy to see Creator’s Mela receive this recognition. For us, that is the true spirit of collaboration: every partner contributing their strength to something larger, and celebrating when the platform we have all helped build is recognised.”
Storm Communications Nepal also won a Silver in the BFSI/Fintech category for its UPI campaign, promoting the use of UPI for payments in Nepal.
The campaign focused on consumer education and on-ground activation across key India–Nepal border hotspots, helping travellers and consumers understand and adopt the cross-border digital payment solution.
