Kathmandu: The US Embassy welcomed their newly arrived Cultural Affairs Officer, Rebecca Weidner, who quickly met with leaders and members of the Nepal-US Alumni Network (NUSAN) on August 3 to learn about the network’s vision and its efforts to connect more than 4,500 US Government exchange alumni across Nepal.
CAO Weidner and U.S. exchange alumni enjoyed a vigorous conversation about how U.S. exchange programs can do even more to develop leaders, strengthen professional networks, advance innovation and entrepreneurship, and deepen people-to-people ties between the United States and Nepal. CAO Weidner also heard directly from alumni about how their exchange experiences have elevated their careers and their ability to contribute to their communities to create meaningful change in Nepal.
The US Embassy stated that it is proud to collaborate with NUSAN to identify and expand new opportunities that benefit both Nepal and the US. The Embassy has encouraged all U.S. Government exchange alumni and graduates of U.S. colleges and universities who have returned to Nepal to join this growing and energetic network of leaders and professionals.
