Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav attended a reception hosted on Thursday evening to mark the National Day of Qatar.
The reception, hosted by Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal Mishal M. Al-Ansari, was attended by heads of constitutional bodies, former ministers, chiefs and officials of diplomatic missions in Kathmandu, senior government officials, Qatari nationals, industrialists, businesspersons and media professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Al-Ansari highlighted the cordial and friendly relations between Nepal and Qatar. He noted that Qatar has been supporting Nepal’s efforts in improving health and livelihoods, as well as in environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
Qatar observes its National Day every year on December 18 in honour of the founding leader of modern Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammad Al Thani.
