Kathmandu: Vice President of Nepal, Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, held talks today with Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, who is on an official visit to Nepal at his invitation. The visit marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and is the first-ever high-level visit from Vietnam to Nepal.

Vice President Xuan, who arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday, also met Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba on the same day. During the meeting, Minister Rana proposed exploring the operation of direct flights from Vietnam to Pokhara and Bhairahawa International Airports, highlighting Nepal’s expectation that such connectivity could help boost tourism from Vietnam.
