Kathmandu: The “Ghode Jatra Festival-2026” was successfully concluded on March 18 at the Tundikhel Military Pavilion in the presence of President Ram Chandra Paudel, featuring various ceremonial programs.

The event included horse carriage races, charger horse races, tent pegging, cross tent pegging, show jumping, and performances by army personnel.

Following the performances, President Paudel awarded prizes to the winners, including Lieutenant Prabin Lamichhane and Jamdar Ram Bahadur Thapa (show jumping), and Lieutenant Biklap Thapa and Soldier Santosh Bhandari (tent pegging).

The program was also attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chairperson of the National Assembly Narayan Dahal, ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, government secretaries, chiefs of security agencies, ambassadors, military attachés from various countries, as well as civilians, media personnel, and the general public.

Additionally, an interaction program with former Chiefs of Army Staff was held on March 17, focusing on the contemporary situation.
