Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal, in collaboration with KIN India and concerned local authorities, facilitated the rescue of 15 Nepali minors (10 boys and 5 girls) from Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar.
The children, originating from several districts of Nepal, had been found in vulnerable circumstances, including unauthorized transfer, domestic violence, family conflict and abuse.
The rescued minors are being safely repatriated to Nepal via the Nepalgunj border and will be handed over to the concerned authorities for appropriate protection, care, family tracing and rehabilitation.
The Embassy appreciated the cooperation extended by the concerned Indian authorities and KIN India in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
