UN Nepali Peacekeepers Patrols Rumbek to Tonj East and South Sudan

Kathmandu: The Nepali UN Peacekeepers patrolled from Rumbek to Tonj East and South Sudan. There they engaged with communities and supported peace efforts to strengthen safety and resilience.

In Thiet, officials expressed concern over recent clashes in Mabior that reportedly killed 20 people, while hoping greater army and police recruitment could offer youth alternatives to violence.

In Palal, community leaders highlighted joint efforts by chiefs and youth to ease tensions and stressed the need for better roads to improve access to essential services and humanitarian assistance.
