Kathmandu: The President of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Fur Gelje Sherpa, held a productive meeting with Anastasia Khokhlova, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nepal and Director of the Russian House, at the NMA Secretariat on August 6.
The meeting focused on the establishment of a Russian Corner at the International Mountain Museum (IMM) in Gharipatan, Pokhara, Kaski. Both the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nepal and the Nepal Mountaineering Association expressed their commitment to working closely together and continuing discussions to finalize the concept, scope, and implementation of the proposed Russian Corner at the IMM.
This initiative is expected to further strengthen cultural ties and promote greater collaboration between Nepal and the Russian Federation through the shared appreciation of mountain heritage, exploration, and culture.
