Kathmandu: H.E. Maeda Toru, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, met with Rt. Hon. Balendra Shah, Prime Minister of Nepal, on September 16. The ambassador expressed his condolences for the victims of the flash floods and landslides, and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the disaster. He also stated that Japan stands in solidarity with Nepal and explained Japan’s emergency assistance to Nepal. He also expressed his gratitude for the continued cooperation toward the earliest possible rescue of missing five Japanese nationals.
They further discussed bilateral relations between the two countries including Japan’s assistance for infrastructure, education and various areas.
