Kathmandu: H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, participated in the high-level roundtable on financing resilient agrifood systems. He emphasized that they cannot continue moving from one crisis to the next.
President Thapa said, “Instead, we must invest in systems that are sustainable, resilient, and capable of delivering food security regardless of geopolitical circumstances.” He also underscored that agrifood transformation must be integrated across agriculture, trade, climate, social protection, and employment policies to maximize development impact. The task now is to turn dialogue into delivery – and commitments into investment.
