Kathmandu: H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with H.E. Timcho Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia. They underscored the importance of stronger multilateralism to address today’s global challenges.
President Thapa and Minister Mucunski discussed North Macedonia’s election to ECOSOC for the 2027–2029 term, its strong commitment to the #2030Agenda, and the importance of strengthening ECOSOC’s role in advancing sustainable development through dialogue, partnerships, and effective implementation.
President Thapa stated he looks forward to North Macedonia’s active engagement and valuable contributions to the Council’s work.
