Kathmandu: Chief of Staff of the British Field Army, Carl Boswell, has lauded the Nepali Army as a world-renowned military institution.
Speaking as the chief guest at a special function organized on the occasion of the 263rd Nepali Army Day at the Embassy of Nepal, London on February 16, Major General Boswell said the Nepali Army has a proud history and a global reputation for excellence.
He noted that Nepali peacekeepers have earned worldwide praise for their discipline, compassion, and ability to undertake complex tasks, making extraordinary contributions to United Nations peacekeeping missions.
On the occasion, Chargé d’affaires Bipin Duwadi recalled the glorious history of the Nepali Army and highlighted its significant achievements for the nation. He also praised the Army’s leadership role in various military activities since the establishment of the United Nations.
The event was attended by more than 100 participants from different sectors, including representatives of the Nepali diaspora in the United Kingdom.
