Kathmandu: H.E. Lalita Silwal, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Nepal Embassy, attended the Flag-in Ceremony organized by the Bangladesh Mountaineering and Trekking Club (BMTC) on May 27. The ceremony was done to honour Bangladeshi mountaineer, Nurunnaher Nimni, on her successful ascent of Mt. Everest. Nimni is the third Bangladeshi woman to have achieved the feat.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Silwal congratulated Nimni on her remarkable achievement. She also noted the growing enthusiasm for mountaineering among Bangladeshi youth in recent years and highlighted the contribution of mountaineers and trekkers in strengthening people-to-people ties between Nepal and Bangladesh.
