Kathmandu: President of the Ambassadors Club Nepal, Amb. Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, and Publisher of The Diplomat Nepal magazine, Bimal Dhakal, were received by the Ambassador of France to Nepal, Virginie Corteval, at her office in Kathmandu.
During the cordial meeting, both sides discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation and engagement across various sectors of mutual interest between Nepal and France. The discussion highlighted opportunities for deeper collaboration through diplomacy, development partnerships, cultural exchange, economic engagement, education, innovation, and people-to-people relations.
Amb. Dr. Sarmila appreciated Ambassador Corteval’s proactive initiatives and continued diplomatic engagement in Nepal, particularly her efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation, dialogue, and inclusive partnerships.
The meeting also emphasized the growing importance of multi-sectoral engagement through diplomacy and Track 1.5 initiatives, bringing together diplomatic actors, policy experts, institutions, academia, civil society, and private-sector stakeholders to foster constructive international cooperation and sustainable development.
Both sides expressed their shared commitment to promoting stronger Nepal–France relations through meaningful dialogue.
