Kathmandu: H.E. Ghanashyam Bhandari, Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, met with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal at the latter’s office on September 16. The meeting was done as part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to promote greater sports cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh.
During the meeting, BCB shared details of the upcoming three-match T20 International series between the two nations, to be held in Kathmandu on 26, 28 and 30 March 2027. The series will be dedicated to the memory of those who have lost their lives in the recent devastating flash floods in Nepal, reflecting the enduring spirit of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
The Embassy of Nepal extended its sincere thanks to the Ministries of Youth and Sports of both countries, Cricket Association of Nepal and the Bangladesh Cricket Board for their pivotal role in advancing this partnership.
The Embassy stated, “This is yet another milestone in the growing cricket and sports cooperation, with both sides committed to deepening ties through exchange of men’s and women’s tours, High Performance programmes, and training and technical support in the years ahead.”
Ambassador Bhandari stated that this is a significant milestone in cricket cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh and gave his thanks to the BCB President, Paras Khadka, Cricket Association of Nepal, and Bangladesh Cricket Board.
