Kathmandu: The Ambassador of Nepal to the United Arab Emirates and Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Tej Bahadur Chhetri, attended the opening ceremony of the IRENA Council held in Abu Dhabi on October 30.
The two-day council meeting, held from October 30 to 31, 2025, is set to focus on global efforts to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency improvements by 2030.
In addition, the council aims to review progress and consider priorities for advancing the energy transition, serving as a preparatory platform for COP30 in Brazil and the 16th IRENA Assembly in 2026.
