Kathmandu: Ambassador Park Taeyoung of the Republic of Korea to Nepal attended the inauguration, handover, and MoU signing ceremony of the Sunakothi Greenhouse Facilities held in Lalitpur on March 26.
The project is being implemented as part of the sister-city cooperation between Cheorwon County of the Republic of Korea and Lalitpur Metropolitan City, and aims to support off-season vegetable production and increase farmers’ income by establishing a greenhouse based on modern agricultural technology for a local women farmers’ group.
Ambassador Park noted that the project represents a model case of Korea–Nepal cooperation and will serve as an important milestone contributing to the empowerment of women farmers, sustainable agricultural development, and enhanced community resilience. He also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support of Cheorwon County and Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
