Ambassador Thapa Delivers a Call at the Fourth LDC Future Forum in Helsinki

Kathmandu: At the Opening Session of the Fourth Least Developed Country (LDC) Future Forum, in Helsinki, Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa, Chair of the LDC Group, delivered a strong call for urgent and collective action to empower the youth of Least Developed Countries through quality education, digital connectivity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth.

Underscoring the immense potential of young people as drivers of transformation, resilience, and sustainable development, he stressed the need for bold investments, stronger partnerships, and concrete support to close the digital divide, expand opportunities, and build inclusive innovation ecosystems across LDCs.

He further emphasized that empowering youth is not a peripheral issue, but central to the successful implementation of the Doha Programme of Action and the credibility of the global commitment to leave no one behind.
