Kathmandu: At the UN Day for South-South Cooperation 2026, Ambassador, H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, Chair of the Global Coordination Bureau of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), delivered remarks on advancing South-South and triangular cooperation for sustainable development.
Welcoming the launch of the Global Alliance for South-South and Triangular Cooperation, Ambassador Thapa highlighted four priorities for LDCs: technology and digital cooperation; productive capacities, trade and regional integration; sustainable development financing; and institutional capacity and peer learning.
He underscored that the value of cooperation must ultimately be measured by delivery, helping LDCs access solutions, partnerships and financing, adapt what works, and accelerate implementation of the Doha programme of Action.
