Ambassador Thapa Meets Belgian MP Nicole de Moor to Discuss Migration and Refugee Issues

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in New York, Lok Bahadur Thapa, held a meeting with Belgian Member of Parliament and former State Secretary for Asylum and Migration, Nicole de Moor, at the Nepali Mission in New York.

The meeting focused on a range of pressing global concerns, including forced displacement, migration, and refugee protection. Both sides exchanged views on current challenges and potential areas of cooperation to ensure safe, orderly, and humane migration practices.

The discussion highlighted Nepal’s active engagement in multilateral dialogues on migration and its continued advocacy for the rights and dignity of migrant workers and displaced populations.
