Kathmandu: H.E. Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa received H.E. Izumi Nakamitsu, UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, at his office on September 16.
Underscoring the important role of the First Committee, they exchanged views on global disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control; capacity-building support for developing countries, including the SALW fellowship; the work of the regional centers; as well as preparations for the upcoming session of the UNGA First Committee.
