Ambassador Thapa, UN SRSG Discuss Nepal’s Disaster Risk Reduction

Kathmandu: Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa, Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, met with Kamal Kishore, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General (SRSG) for Disaster Risk Reduction.

The two held discussions on the importance of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) mandate, Nepal’s specific needs and priorities, and shared best practices. They further emphasized the role of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in advancing such agendas.
