Kathmandu: Australian Embassy partners with ICIMOD to advance Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), science based, community led solutions that reduce flood risks, strengthen water security, and support climate resilient livelihoods.
They held meetings with local governments, early warning custodians, women and youth entrepreneurs, including women with disabilities. They highlighted the value of inclusive partnerships that place vulnerable communities at the heart of climate action.
The Embassy stated that as climate impacts intensify, Australia is committed to scaling solutions that drive inclusive, and climate resilient development. They also gave their thanks to the ICIMOD team for their leadership and collaboration on the ground.
