Kathmandu: Simon Ernst, Ambassador of Australia to Nepal, took part in the NEFTalk on Education and Migration: the Nepal-Australia Connection. The talk was also joined by Lawmaker Anushka Shrestha, former Secretary Ram Prasad Ghimire, and Amina Singh, who are all Australian alums.
The talk offered valuable insights into the historical trajectory of student mobility and how this large-scale people-to-people exchange has meaningfully shaped both our countries. The alums also discussed how the Nepali diaspora in Australia can be further strengthened as a living bridge between Australia and Nepal.
