Kathmandu: Shafiqur Rahman, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, hosted a dinner reception at the Embassy in honour of the Bangladeshi business entrepreneurs participating in the 2nd South Asia Trade Fair 2026. The event was also attended by prominent Nepali business leaders, including members of the Bangladesh-Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI). In total, around 60 businesspersons from Bangladesh and Nepal joined the gathering.
Prior to the dinner, the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs shared their experiences from the past three days at the Trade Fair as well as their visits to the local markets in Nepal. They exchanged ideas and perspectives on expanding bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Nepal. Members of BNCCI also shared their valuable insights and warmly welcomed future collaboration with Bangladeshi businesses.
During the interaction, Ambassador Rahman thanked both Bangladeshi and Nepali entrepreneurs for their constructive ideas and discussions on enhancing trade and investment ties between the two friendly countries. He noted several practical suggestions and assured the participants of the Embassy’s continued support in promoting bilateral economic cooperation.
The evening concluded with a fruitful networking session followed by a dinner featuring traditional Bangladeshi cuisine.
