Kathmandu: The Royal Government of Bhutan has contributed INR 100 million to Nepal’s Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund in support of relief and recovery efforts following the recent devastating floods.
The check was handed over by H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to India, to Dr. Surendra Thapa, Charge d’Affaires of the Nepal Embassy, at the Embassy premises in New Delhi.
The Embassy stated that Nepal deeply appreciates this gesture of solidarity from the Government and people of Bhutan, reflecting the enduring friendship, goodwill and shared Himalayan bonds between two countries.
