Kathmandu: The 3rd Meeting of the BIMSTEC Expert Group on Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation took place in Colombo on 11–12 September 2025.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the BIMSTEC Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (2023–2027). Member states also shared national experiences in advancing evidence-based governance and discussed key initiatives, including the regional assessment report, the upcoming BIMSTEC Start-Up Conclave, and the operationalisation of the Technology Transfer Facility.
The discussions aimed at strengthening regional collaboration in innovation and technology to foster sustainable growth and development across the BIMSTEC region.
