Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming recently visited the Lizi-Nechung border port and Mustang district, inspecting infrastructure and connectivity conditions on both sides of the Nepal-China border and holding meetings with officials from the two countries.
Sharing details of the visit on social media, Ambassador Zhang said he had inspected the port’s infrastructure and connectivity conditions from both sides and held “fruitful meetings” with Chinese and Nepali officials.
“Let’s work together to make Lizi-Nechung Port play more important role in promoting stronger trade and closer people-to-people ties,” Zhang said.
The Lizi-Nechung port, also known as the Korala border point on the Nepali side, is one of the recognised border ports between Nepal and China.
