Kathmandu: China has congratulated Nepal on the successful completion of voting for the House of Representatives elections held on March 5.
Speaking at a regular press conference on March 6, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, said China welcomes the smooth and orderly conduct of the elections.
She noted that China is pleased to see Nepal advance its political agenda steadily and emphasized that the two countries are traditionally friendly neighbors that have supported each other in safeguarding independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
China also expressed readiness to work with Nepal to further advance their strategic partnership of cooperation featuring lasting friendship aimed at development and prosperity.
