Kathmandu: The Consulate General of India, Birgunj (Nepal) in association with the Jankapurdham Municipality and Shri Janaki Temple, Janakpurdham(Dhanusha district) organized a Yoga event within the sacred premises of the iconic Shri Janaki Temple, in the run-up to the 12th International Day of Yoga under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”. This was the fifth event in a series of events being organized by the Consulate as part of the IDY 2026 celebrations.
More than 600 participants came together to celebrate the timeless gift of Yoga—a path to better health, inner peace, and harmony with the world.
Hon. Krishna Prasad Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, graced as the Chief Guest while Hon. Ram Ashish Yadav, Speaker of the Madhesh Province Assembly, and Hon. Manoj Kumar Sah, Mayor of Janakpurdham Municipality, were the distinguished guests.
