Kathmandu: In the run-up to the 12th International Day of Yoga, the Consulate General of India in Birgunj, in association with the Mahagadhima Municipality, organized a yoga event next to the Mahagadhimai temple, Bariyarpur, Bara.
Hon. Mahammad Samir, Physical Infrastructure Minister of Madhesh Province, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Hon. Upendra Prasad Yadav, Mayor of Mahagadhimai Municipality was the Distinguished Guest.
The event also witnessed participation from members of local Chamber of Commerce, Nepal-India Friendship Association (NIFA), Patanjali Yoga Samiti (Bara), Chief District Officer, SPs, and other local Government functionaries apart from school students.
According to the Consulate, more than 350 yoga enthusiasts came together to celebrate health, harmony, and holistic well-being.
