Kathmandu: President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Lok Bahadur Thapa met with Jürg Lauber, President of the UN Human Rights Council, to discuss enhancing collaboration between the two UN bodies.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and complementarities to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development while ensuring that human rights remain central to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
