Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), met with Vivian Okeke, Representative of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the United Nations, on February 13.
During the meeting, the two discussed the IAEA’s strategic engagement at the upcoming High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), its role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and reaffirmed the agency’s importance as a key partner in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Both sides underscored the significance of strengthened cooperation to support global development efforts.
