Kathmandu: President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Lok Bahadur Thapa, met with Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family of Qatar, on the sidelines of the World Social Summit 2025.
The meeting focused on advancing social development through key ECOSOC priorities, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), youth engagement, and global partnerships.
President Thapa highlighted ECOSOC’s role as a vital platform for promoting inclusive development and strengthening international cooperation through its diverse programmes, segments, and forums.
