Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Managing Director of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC). They discussed scaling catalytic finance, de-risking investments, and strengthening support for SMEs and smallholder farmers.
They emphasized enabling environments to mobilize private finance and better integrate LDCs and LLDCs into global value chains, in line with the Sevilla Commitment and engagement with the IFIs to advance inclusive commodity development.
