Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) met with Permanent Representative of Malta to the United Nations, Natasha Meli, and congratulated her on her appointment as co-facilitator of the UN General Assembly’s review of ECOSOC and the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
During the meeting, they discussed ECOSOC’s central role in the global development agenda and its importance in advancing multilateralism, addressing global challenges and ensuring inclusive development that leaves no one behind.
