Kathmandu: H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with H.E. Sandra Paulemon, Minister of Planification and External Cooperation of Haiti.
They discussed strengthening support for Haiti through coordinated humanitarian and development efforts, advancing socio-economic recovery and stability, empowering women and youth, and supporting rehabilitation and reintegration programmes for youth associated with gangs. President Thapa also welcomed Haiti’s readiness to present a Voluntary National Review at the 2027 HLPF. He reaffirmed ECOSOC’s continued commitment to supporting Haiti’s development priorities and the 2030Agenda.
