Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with Justine Kasule Lumumba, Minister of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister of Uganda and Chair of ARFSD-1, and Fabrice David, Junior Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries of Mauritius and incoming Chair of ARFSD-12, in Addis Ababa during the 12th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.
They discussed Africa’s priorities for the 2030Agenda and Agenda2063, the role of regional forums in shaping the 2026 HLPF, and the need to accelerate SDG implementation through stronger financing, youth empowerment, climate action and coordinated multilateral support.
