Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with Carsten Staur, Chair of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
They discussed the OECD’s efforts to support countries in designing strategies, strengthening governance frameworks, and tracking progress toward the SDGs.
President Thapa encouraged the DAC to continue engaging with ECOSOC, sharing updates on its review, seeking feedback from the wider UN membership, and fostering transparent, inclusive dialogue on the future of development cooperation.
