Kathmandu: President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Lok Bahadur Thapa, held his second monthly meeting with the President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on December 2.
The two discussed aligning the work of the General Assembly and ECOSOC to advance key global frameworks, including the Pact for the Future, the Sevilla Commitment, and the Doha Political Declaration.
Their talks also focused on the UN80 reform process and pressing global priorities such as development, climate resilience and food security.
