Kathmandu: Lok Bahadur Thapa, UN ECOSOC President, met with Seamus Boland, President of European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on April 15. They focused their discussions on advancing poverty eradication, safeguarding democracy, and sustainable development.
They reaffirmed their shared commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, strengthening social protection systems, and ensuring that no one is left behind – while highlighting the importance of mental health, especially for young people.
They also addressed the critical role of civil society and partnerships in accelerating progress toward the 2030 Agenda.
