Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Dipak Khadka, held a bilateral meeting with Wang Hongzhi, Administrator of the National Energy Administration (NEA) of China, on the sidelines of the Energy Ministerial Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states in Ningbo city, Zhejiang Province.
During the meeting, Minister Khadka expressed appreciation to the Chinese government for successfully hosting the ministerial gathering and noted that the event has contributed to the advancement of Nepal’s energy sector.
The two sides discussed ways to deepen the longstanding Nepal-China relationship, enhance mutual trust, and expand cooperation in the energy sector, according to Sagar Raj Adhikari, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, who was also present at the meeting.
Administrator Hongzhi reiterated China’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s energy development through both technical and financial assistance, particularly in building key infrastructure for power generation and transmission.
