Kathmandu: Ken Shimizu, FAO Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, held a courtesy meeting with Gauri Kumari Yadav, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies. They reaffirmed a shared vision to deepen collaboration in transforming Nepal’s agrifood systems.
The discussions highlighted a strong commitment to promoting agro-based industries, expanding market access for Nepali products, and unlocking new opportunities for value addition and trade. Key areas of cooperation include advancing Geographical Indications, strengthening trade facilitation, and catalyzing investments that empower small and medium enterprises and rural entrepreneurs.
