Kathmandu: Hon. Swarnim Wagle, Minister for Finance, held a meeting with David Marriott, Chairman of Marriott International, and the managers of the Nepali partner Chaudhary Group (CG) at the Ministry on June 8.
The meeting took place following the announcement of operating the international luxury hotel brand “The Ritz-Carlton” in Thamel, Kathmandu which is in partnership with the Chaudhary Group.
Marriott International and CG had signed an agreement to operate two new luxury and premium hotels: The Ritz-Carlton and The Westin. These projects are expected to be operational by 2031.
